Miao is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association.

She has been a yoga instructor since 2012, soon after she obtained her Bachelor of Accounting degree. Teaching yoga has helped her discover the passion to study human anatomy and strong desire to help others. This inspired her to attend school in 2017 and pursue a career in osteopathy.

She understands that structures and functions of the body are closely interrelated, and the whole body works in an integrative manner to regulate and maintain health. Through gentle manipulative hands-on treatments, she works on aligning the structures of the body to help restore their healthy motion and function.

She is still teaching yoga once a week and she enjoys staging houses for sale.
